We recently published a brand new location page for a client, and it's a good example of why targeting the right search matters more than chasing the biggest one. 

We published a brand new location page for the client on June 30. Just over a week later, on July 11, that page was sitting in the number one organic position on Google for its main target search, ahead of local competitors who had been online for years.

The keyword itself wasn't a huge volume search. That was deliberate. Rather than chasing a term that brings in a lot of casual clicks, we went after a search used by people who are close to actually making a decision. Fewer people searching it, but far more of them ready to act.

That difference showed up quickly. Just over a week after the page hit number one, it generated its first enquiry. That single enquiry turned into a client quotation worth around £50,000. Days later, a second enquiry came through the same page, worth a further £20,000.

One page, published from scratch, generated roughly £70,000 in quoted business within its first few weeks online. It's still ranking number one today.

The strategy behind it was straightforward on paper: build the page with a clear structure, connect it properly to the rest of the site, write content that answers what a real person searching that term actually wants to know, and support it with the right technical and off page signals. No shortcuts, just the fundamentals done properly and aimed at the right target.
